ABOUT wellness empowered

OUR JOURNEY

  Wellness Empowered was founded in October 2019 as a counselling private practice by Shayla S. Dube and incorporated as Langa Wellness Empowered Community Services Inc in October 2020. Shayla currently holds a Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from York University and she is currently licensed to practise in the provinces of Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. The long term vision is to offer Canada wide and international service provider. Langa is a Ndebele/ Zulu word that means Sun and we believe everyone needs sunlight and our mission is to inspire you find your light within. Our community wellness services are hope, heart and healing centred.


Underpinning our core values is the commitment to social justice that examines and challenges the status quo using anti oppressive practise and person - centred and  decolonizing lens. We believe it takes a village to build thriving communities, as such we welcome partnerships with like minded businesses and community stakeholders that share the same vision as us.  We believe there is ample sun for everyone and; “as long as the sun rises, there is HOPE”

Our purpose is to provide a culturally responsive, holistic and wellness focussed services that promote collective healing, multiculturalism , diversity and inclusion for all.

✅Normalize and de-stigmatize accessing mental health supports. 

✅ Prevent burnout, promote self-care and resilience.
